Our family at UCC supports a wide range of missionary efforts on several continents and countries. Each year the members of the Missions Ministry review current missionary efforts and recommends the programs and their support for the next year.

In many churches, a certain percentage of giving is set-aside for missions.  But, the practice at UCC is for members to tithe to support the local church and to pledge an amount above the tithe to fund the missions that UCC supports.  Once per year, on Faith Promise Sunday, we ask all of our members to promise to financially support our missions program; acting in faith that God will make giving to both causes possible.  This is your Faith Promise.

FOREIGN MISSIONS

Chiredzi Children’s Home – Support for an orphanage located in Zimbabwe, Africa founded by the Pembertons.

Christian Arabic Services – Safaa seeks to establish a beachhead in Egypt for a New Testament church.

Commit Ministries – Trains Missionaries

Frontiers - Greg & Ginette minister in West Africa.

GO Ministries – Haitian Refugee ministry in the Dominican Republic

Mashoko Hippo Valley – The Pemberton Family ministry offers AIDS education in Zimbabwe, Africa.

MidIndia Christian Mission Center – Support for a Christian media production and training center located in India.

Mission of Christ for Africa – Bekele and Kalem Demissie minister in Ethiopia and to expatriates in Southern California.

New Mission Systems International – James & Marta Khong teach God's word in Myanmar (Burma).

North Burma Christian Mission / Morse Literature Fund / Tribal Children's Hostel – The Morse Family provide ministry and outreach efforts in North Burma.

Scripture Translation for Every People – Chuck & Mickey Richards oversee Bible translation in the Philippines.

Wycliffe Translation – Terry and Nancy Sullivan oversee Bible translation in Benin, Africa.

HOME MISSIONS

American Rehabilitation Ministry –  A prison ministry.

Angeles Crest Christian Church / DeBar Camp Scholarship – Ministers to Southern California youth.

Chaplaincy Endorsement Commission – A program which endorses ministers to enter outreach programs in the military.

International Christian Braille Mission – Distributes New Testament literature in formats readable to the blind.

LAX Food Pantry – Provides food to low income, elderly, unemployed, disabled and homeless people.

Pacific Christian College / Hope International University Scholarship – Provides quality education to Christians.

Stadia – Instrumental in planting new churches.

Team Expansion – Mike and Jill Hook are planting new churches in Hispanic communities in Louisville, Kentucky.
